Spreading the Love!

So, as you all know, we have had some amazing artists stay at our little hotel throughout the years. (Yes, we are lucky and yes, we know it.)

As it’s Valentine’s Day, we wanted to share some of our favorite songs of infatuation, longing and devotion recorded by these greats.

Yeah, we’d like to think that they wrote the songs while they stayed with us–that our cozy environment inspired them to think about L-O-V-E. Who’s to say we’re wrong? In any event, We’ll just keep right on believing our fantasy.

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! xoxo

The Ramones I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend –Yes, we do.

The B-52s’ Love Shack – “‘Cause love rules at the love shack!”

Bo Diddley Love Me – One of the original architects of rock ‘n roll in a tender song that can still make an audience swoon all these years later.

Norah Jones Come Away With Me – Norah was actually a server for North Square before blowing up. Maybe she was humming this while taking drink orders?

Bob Dylan If Not For You – Everything you need in a love song. Everything. Here he is performing it with George Harrison, who had a hit with his version.
