We’ve told you about the many wine and beer tastings that seem to be happening every single weekend in the city. But here’s an event of a different stripe: a Bloody Mary tasting! Get ready for the best brunch of your life this Sunday, April 8th, at the 5th Annual Bloody Mary Festival this Sunday at The Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn, a short ride from the hotel on the B train.
For $50, you’ll get 2 and a half hours tasting the most creative and delicious Bloody Marys from all around the city.
Fifteen restaurants will be competing to be your favorite version of this adult treat. Participating mixologists will include Dos Caminos, Pok Pok Ny, Dirty Candy, Catfish, the Bloody Mary Liberation Party and last year’s winner, Lobster Joint.
Of course, there will be grub! You’ll find a Brooklyn bagel bar, cheese tables, and tastings from over twenty food and beverage artisans, including Little Bird Kitchen, Les Trois Petit Cochons, Bespoke Bacon (bacon!) and My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream (ice cream!). Music will be provided by The Blue Dahlia, a band featuring a ukelele player that sings in both French and English, which sounds pretty cool to us.
So here’s the deal. There will be two sessions: one from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and another from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can head here for tickets. Oh–and obviously, you must be 21+ to attend.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
