Every year, North Square and Chef Yoel Cruz participate in Taste of the Village, an event which gathers chefs from the finest restaurants the Village has to offer. (And there are many, And yes, they are fine. Very fine.)
This year, Taste of the Lower East Side showcases the yummy grub that our neighbors to the east regularly serve up.
Participating restaurants include perennial favorites Kossar’s Bagels & Bialys, Dirt Candy, Beauty & Essex, Moderno, The Meatball Shop, The Lucky Bee and Veselko.
$195 will nab you unlimited samples from 50 restaurants plus open bar for three hours at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. DJ’s will be spinning discs and participants can play games with the opportunity to win
prizes. There are more expensive packages with primo benefits that you can find out about here.
FYI 195 big ones will go toward benefitting the Grand St. Settlement, which organizes community programs and housing for folks less fortunate than us.
If you’re here in the city tonight, check it out. If you’re not, check out the list of restaurants to try on your next trip! And stay tuned next year for this tasty event.
