For the 94th annual tree lighting ceremony here in Washington Square Park. Did you know that our tradition is older than the Rockefeller Center’s one by seven years?
Well, now you do!
Head to the park at 6 p.m. next Monday, December 5th, to witness the 45-foot Christmas tree in all of its glory. The Rob Sussman Brass Quartet will provide the music, and our neighbors will gather to sing their favorite holiday songs.
Rumor has it that Santa himself will appear, hand out candy canes and lead the children into the illumination countdown. (We don’t know this for a fact, but have it on a good source.)
Stop into North Square for our Happy Hour to toast the onset of the holidays!
