We all know that one of the main reasons people visit us here in New York City is for our fabulous Broadway shows. And the restaurants. And the museums. And the….okay, there are a lot of reasons folks travel here, but catching a Broadway show is surely in the Top 5.
Enter Broadway Week! A tickets deal offered by Broadway producers and NYC & Company. For a limited time, it allows you to buy two tickets to most Broadway shows for the price of one. (Nope–you don’t have to buy two tickets to take advantage of the deal.)
The offer runs from January 21st through February 10th, but you can snag the tickets online now. (Attention foodies: this offer coincides with Restaurant Week. You get a two-fer!)
So what shows are included? Sorry, folks, no Hamilton or To Kill A Mockingbird, but there are plenty of Tony Award winners and current hits on the list. Like Mean Girls and The Ferryman, for example. Kinky Boots (saw it, loved it), Beautiful – The Carole King Musical (haven’t seen it, gonna get tickets).
Kids will enjoy Frozen, Wicked, Aladdin and Anastasia. Mainstays like The Book of Mormon, Chicago, The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera are also on the list.
The earlier you purchase the tickets, the better, especially for the hit shows that go fast So grab your family, friends, and co-workers and grab a seat for a special night out
