We’ve had an amazing array of artists stay at our hotel. Can we say that maybe, just maybe, Chuck Berry was our favorite? Charles Edward Anderson “Chuck” Berry was born in 1926 and passed away today at the age of 90. We wonder, would there would be any rock ‘n roll if it weren’t for Chuck? Probably not. Chuck refined and developed rhythm and blues into rock ‘n roll’s first incarnation. Without him, there would be no Beatles, Rolling Stones, or Dylan. No Beach Boys or the Kinks or Aerosmith. And for that, we’re grateful.

We’re happy that he lived a good, full life. Rest in peace, Mr. Berry.
