Urbanspace is a company that wants to create “immersive public markets where creativity and community flourish.” They aim to bring diverse flavors and food entrepreneurs together to feed always-hungry New Yorkers and adventurous out-of-towners. Which all translates nicely into really great grub.
The company has nine markets happening at various sites around the city throughout the year. Locations include next to Grand Central, Times Square, but the one we’ll talk about right now, Madison Square Eats, is located at 5th Avenue between 25th and 26th (Worth Square) in the Flatiron District.
So what can you find there? How about Southeast Asian-inspired tacos from Coney Shack, insane pizza from Roberta’s or Melt ice cream sandwiches? Cheesesteaks by the Truffleist, Mr. Bing’s Beijing street food, delicious Palenque Arepas or Frida’s Favorites Mexican yumminess. Renegade lemonade and Top Hops Beer Shop will provide the beverages to wash it all down. And that’s just a partial listing.
You get the deal. Basically, you can take a food tour around the world in one square in New York City. (Hey–that’s why we love where we live!)
Here’s the deal: The market will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through June 1st, o you’ll have plenty of time to drop by on your next visit! Click here to find out about all the different Urbanspace markets around town!
