(Almost) Free Things To Do This Weekend

The annual Mermaid Parade takes place tomorrow on the Coney Island boardwalk. Come and watch this New York holiday parade invented for and by artists! Described as, “a celebration of ancient mythology and honky-tonk rituals of the seaside,” it features super-creative New Yorkers as walking art, dressed up as mythical creatures and the like. The parade will start at 1 pm at West 21st Street and Surf Avenue.

The Renegade Craft Fair in the East River State Park in Wiliamsburg will run on both Saturday and Sunday. Munch on food truck fare and scout hipsters while you browse the goods of over 300 indie crafters, where you can pick up one of a kind clothing, jewelry and other things that you couldn’t possibly begin to make yourself.

If you love the Beatles (and who doesn’t?) and are inclined to belt out a tune when prodded, head to Union Hall in Park Slope this Sunday for a Beatles Sing-Along. The bar/restaurant will screen music videos, music clips and live TV performances viagra sales from the Fab 4 as everyone joins in. (“Strawberry Fields For-evah!”)  An $8 cover will get you in the door.

Have a great weekend everyone!
