So where can you view the top modern and contemporary paper-based art from eighty galleries around the world?
Why, at Manhattan’s Pier 36 in Downtown Manhattan on from March 9th through March 11th of course!
Galleries from Boston, Chicago, Paris, San Francisco, Geneva, Shanghai–pretty much any place in the world you can think of–will be displaying their best works on paper. The Imlay Gallery right here in New York will be showing the stunning painting in our featured photo, Saydi Callan’s Maiden in Spring (watercolor, acrylic, India ink, and collage).
Hours vary by the day, and a one-day ticket will set you back $25. Multi-day passes are $35 and a multi-day plus a V.I.P. preview pass for the evening of the 8th is only $50.
Yes, there will be food. (Would we ever send you to a place where you couldn’t get a bite? Never!) Fort Defiance, a long-time Red Hook bar and cafe will be setting up shop, as will CoCo & Co, which serve up ice-cold cracked coconuts, both virgin and otherwise. Sandwich stand Federoff’s Roast Pork will be on hand, and specialty coffee purveyor Stand Coffee will provide the oh-so-necessary caffeine to enable guests to plow through all of that magnificent art.
